This Label creates personalized military- jackets
Sonja Zawer pimps Camouflage- Pieces which are normally meant to be thrown away.
There are trends which have celebrated their comeback already so many times that they can been seen as basic products. Militaryjackets are definetly one of that kind. Sonja Patrizia Zawer gives throwout pieces of the german federal armed force a second chance.“ I had the idea when patches were about to become stylish. For me the most patches were to small and the pieces to expensive, therefore I decided to paint a jacket on my own.“, says the founderess from Frankfurt in the conversation with Kurier.
Camouflage – unique pieces
After uploading a photo of her selfmade jacket on instagram and model Lena Gercke paying attention to the trend piece a lot of fashion- lovers were interested in her idea. In January 2017 Zawer started to offer the cool military jackets in her own online shop with the name „Soniush“.
„The quality of the fabric is just great to paint on“ the foundress explains. The special thing about our jackets: Every single piece is handpainted and therefore unique. Instead of producing with new material, Zawer uses throwouts of the german Bundeswehr.
Either clients choose an existing motif or prefer an individual and personalized model. This can be the own name in a painted heart or a motif designed by the customer himself – almost every desire can be implemented. The clients can upload a photo of the favored motif at the online shop which will be painted on the product in the factory in Frankfurt afterwards and then will be shipped.
Great: Distroyed jackets are not thrown away but are transformed into cute children models.
